Does MALTODEXTRIN have a higher glycemic index than sugar & to diabetics or hypoglycemics?

Another way of looking at sugar-free is the actual definition of sugar-free which most diabetics declare at less than 500mg per serving. Maltodextrin itself is not a sugar but it does have a small amount of sugar in it. We only use 6mg per capsule and we don't use it as a sweetener. It's more to hold the product together in the capsule. We have a large number of diabetics who take our products and this has never posed an issue.
